Research Data manager and Coördinator
We are looking for a proactive Research Data Coördinator / Data Manager to accelerate large health research via our ‘FAIR’ IT infrastructure: data catalogues, patient registries, *omics and imaging, high performance computing and federated analysis. You will primarily work with MOLGENIS, the long-standing open-source research infrastructure developed at the UMCG and used across the world. In this role you will:

You will join MOLGENIS, the big data science research & service infrastructure at the University Medical Centre Groningen (UMCG). Our mission is to accelerate scientific discovery in health using, large data, open-source software and high-performance computing, enabling integrated analyses for rare disease, common disease, population cohorts, genetics, and multi-omics data. You will be part of a social, multi-site, multi-disciplinary team working on large-scale EU-funded projects, aimed at improving life-course health for citizens and patients: 1 Professor, 2 Postdocs, 5 Project/Team Leaders, 2 Product Adoptions Leads, 8 Scientific Software Developers, 8 Data Managers, 3 System Administrators, 3 PhD students.
We offer an exciting position for one year with the possibility of extension. 4/5 days per week with flexible and hybrid working hours. Your salary will be at a maximum of € 5.160,- gross per month, based on a full-time appointment (scale 9) by the UMCG, depending on your knowledge and skills. Additionally, the UMCG offers an 8% holiday allowance, an 8.3% year-end bonus.The conditions of employment comply with the Collective Labour Agreement for Medical Centres (CAO-UMC).
